Finger Launch Mode/ Finger Navigation Mode
This section will describe the functions listed in the BioExcess tray menu.
BioConsole is the central management tool that allows you to control the behavior of all BioExcess’ functions. It is also the first point of access and authentication before you can conduct any changes to your settings.
Note: BioWidget is an important entry menu for quick access to BioExcess key functions. For more information about the functions in BioConsole, please refer to the Managing BioExcess section of this document.
This function provides quick access to the fingerprint enrollment page. You can edit your fingerprint settings from this page.
This is a quick reminder window which displays all your current Finger Launch items. Please see the section on Finger Launch Management to learn how to manage your Finger Launch items.
Finger Launch Mode/ Finger Navigation Mode The software allows you to switch between Finger Launch Mode and Finger Navigation Mode. The default mode is the Finger Launch Mode. The current mode selected will be displayed in the tray menu. Finger Launch Mode allows you to swipe any registered finger to do the fingerprint authentication or launch a specific event. Finger Navigation Mode enables you to navigate the web pages with your fingers in addition to using your mouse. To adjust the sensitivity of the sensor, please see the section on Finger Navigation Management.
Password Bank lists all the websites/applications which you have registered as a Password Bank Item. It stores the user ID and password of these websites/applications, so that the next time you want to log on, the software will auto fill-in your user ID and password simply by using your fingerprint as identification. Your Password Bank items can be launched in two ways:
Note: If you are in the Finger Navigation Mode, you will not be able to launch any website/application with your fingers.
You can open/close the Yo-Safe from the system tray menu, BioWidget, Gadget and also from the BioConsole (BioConsole > Data Protection > Yo-Safe Management).
